Whether you are a cooking enthusiast or reluctant egg-boiler, nobody enjoys working in a kitchen full of greasy steam and smoke. The AH 600 takes advantage of a novel ventilation technology exclusive to Gaggenau to capture all the vapor rising from the cooktop before it can spread into the rest of the kitchen. The technology relies on the Coanda effect, the peculiar behavior of air known from aerodynamics: an additional fan positioned at the front of the ventilator generates a flow of air, which is deflected around a cylinder towards the back of the ventilator. The backward airflow guides any vapor rising from the cooking surface directly towards the filter area of the ventilator, ensuring perfect ventilation over the whole of the cooking area. Despite such peerless efficiency, it runs so quietly you could almost forget that it was on at all. |
